Developmental Curriculum

Family Engagement Activities

At Bear Essentials Academy, we provide fun activities for parents, caregivers, and families to enjoy together. We believe that quality time strengthens relationships and supports your child's growth.

Our exciting events include summer picnics for all families and Christmas sing-alongs where children perform for their families.

We also have events for special occasions like "Moms and Muffins" for Mother's Day and "Dads and Donuts" for Father's Day, showcasing our enjoyable activities.

Additionally, we offer parent-teacher conferences to keep families updated on their child's progress and learning goals.

Bear Essentials Academy Rates

Discover our adaptable pricing solutions designed for children of all ages.

Families can enjoy a $25 tuition discount when payment is made in full on or before the 6th of the month.

Please note that these rates apply exclusively to full-time enrollment. We also provide part-time rates. Our part-time scheduling options include:

  • 4.5 hours per day, 5 days a week — available in either morning or afternoon slots

  • 3 days a week — with the same consistent days every week

Grizzly Bears Care (School Children) Options

If school-age children will not attend daycare on any school closure days, a $35 discount will be applied to the monthly tuition.

Summer Camp

Our summer camp offers a variety of fun and exciting activities for children aged five and above. We organize numerous field trips that include engaging learning experiences. Please note that our summer camp has an additional fee, which is determined based on the specific field trips and types of activities planned. Each summer, the fees may vary, providing a fresh and exciting lineup of experiences.

Locally Owned

Bear Essentials Academy was established by Wendy Pendleten, initially operating as a home daycare in 1994 before expanding to its first center in 2008. To address evolving community requirements, Wendy opened an additional location in Taylorsville, Utah, in 2017. She remains dedicated to delivering affordable, high-quality childcare that ensures every child feels supported, respected, and equipped for future success.

Experienced Caregivers

At Bear Essentials Academy, your child’s safety and well-being are our highest priorities. All of our staff members are certified in CPR and First Aid. In addition, each team member is required to maintain a current Food Handler’s Permit and participate in ongoing early childhood development training throughout the year.

Many of our staff members have been part of the Bear Essentials Academy family for more than 10 years. Their experience, dedication, and continued professional development allow them to provide a nurturing environment and deliver an enriching curriculum that supports each child’s growth and learning throughout the day.
