Family Engagement
Family Engagement & Partnership
At Bear Essentials Academy, we believe that partnering with parents and families is one of the most important parts of creating the best possible outcomes for every child. When families and teachers work together, children feel supported, valued, and successful.
Our Family Engagement Program and policies include many fun, meaningful, and engaging activities that encourage participation from parents, grandparents, extended family members, and our entire Bear Essentials family.
We hold parent-teacher conferences twice a year, giving families the opportunity to learn about their child’s progress, celebrate accomplishments, and work together on goals for continued growth. Throughout the year, we also complete developmental screenings to help us identify areas where a child may need additional support. If a concern arises, we communicate openly with parents and work together to determine the best way to support their child.
We love creating special memories with our families through activities and celebrations throughout the year, including:
● Moms & Muffins to celebrate our amazing moms on Mother’s Day
● Dads & Donuts to celebrate our wonderful dads on Father’s Day
● Our annual Christmas Program, where children perform fun Christmas songs and activities for their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and loved ones
● Our Summer Kickoff Picnic, where families and extended family members join us for games, face painting, clowns, delicious food, and lots of fun!
These events give us opportunities to build relationships, connect with families, and create memories that children will carry with them for years to come.
At Bear Essentials Academy, we believe that when we partner with families, children thrive. Our goal is to create a strong connection between home and school so every child knows they are loved, supported, and celebrated.
